Found 3-week-old kitten with fly eggs. How to help without a vet?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

I found a kitten (about 3 weeks old I think) that has fly eggs on him i have gotten as many as i could manage off of him and given him a bath is there anything else I can do to make sure he is okay? I cannot afford to take him to the vet.

If the kitten only has fly eggs and no larva you shouldn’t need to do anything else. It can be difficult however to care for a three week old kitten - you will need to bottle feed it formula. This article might help, although I don’t recommend homemade formula except in an emergency:
