Kitten has diarrhea, worms, fleas, and goopy eye. What can I do?

A dewormer would be beneficial if the diarrhea is caused by worms, however if they also have eye discharge or third eyelids showing I would be concerned about other issues ongoing such as a respiratory infection or illness. The kittens, if they are about 2-3 months old, are also of the age where they should be getting their first set of vaccines, exams, etc. It would be best to bring them into your vet for a complete checkup, checking the stool to figure out the cause of the diarrhea, look at the eyes, and get started on a health and vaccination plan.

Jack's eyes and stool most likely are not related although can be. He may have an upper respiratory infection, conjunctivitis (inflammation in the conjunctiva of the eyes which may be infection vs allergic), Jack can have a corneal ulcer (less likely if it is both eyes that are affected) or even allergies (which are less likely due to age). With all of his symptoms, including a runny nose and sneezing it seems more like an upper respiratory infection. It is a good sign that he is still full of energy. With his stool, it can be stress or intestinal parasites. It can also be that he got into something he wasn't supposed to or even a virus. When you go to the veterinarian I would recommend bringing a stool sample so the veterinarian can make sure there are no intestinal parasites. They may dispense eye medication and medication to help with the diarrhea. Depending on the cause they find it just may be antibiotics for the diarrhea or it may be a dewormer. The fleas and constant itching can be contributing to the vomiting. I would use a flea comb dipped in soapy water to comb the fleas off her several times a day. This will catch the fleas on her and kill them in the soapy water. You will also remove the lose fur which may be causing her to have hairballs which she is trying to vomit up. Please do get a flea prevention product as soon as you can. When she's treated for the intestinal parasites and fleas she should feel better. Poor kitties. YOu should be able to get both treatments from your local pet store. There are many variations to the brands available, but they should all be mostly effective. Tapeworm medication can come in the form of "Praziquantel" or some variations of this and some ear mite medications you may see are "Acarexx", "Milbemite" or some other off brand. 1 treatment should resolve the infections your kitties have. I would also recommend getting them on a flea preventative (if they are old enough) to prevent re-infection with tapeworms, since tapeworms come from flea ingestion or ingestion of poop that is infected with them. Many times kittens with upper respiratory or eye infections can get maggots. Removing the maggots and treating the infection is the first step. The kitten may also have intestinal parasites, which need to be treated based on the type of parasite. Feeding egg yolks is not helpful, you will need to use a kitten milk replacer for nutrition and hydration. I would recommend that you have the kitten examined by a vet for the best chance at saving its life. The diarrhea could be perhaps due to parasites.
