My 2-month-old kitten is constipated and won't drink. What to do?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Himalayan | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 2 days old | 6.6 lbs

Hi I have two questions. 1- Noushmc doesn't drink water , what should I do? 2- The first couple of days she used to drink milk powder for kittens , now she doesn't, should I give it to her by syringe. 3- do you suggest any vitamins for her? The vet suggested sunnysoul, but I want to consult with you first. 4- she was constipated for about three days now that she's got her appetite back should I give her anything special?

A kitten that is 2 months old does not need milk or milk replacer any longer. If she is undeeweight or needs additional calories, try canned kitten food instead of milk. Her diet at 8 weeks should be dry kitten food +/- canned kitten food and clean fresh water to drink. This will help regulate her bowel movements and give her adequate nutrition. If the foods are good quality, vitamins are not needed.
