When feeding a milk replacer, the general rule is that kittens should be drinking 22 to 26 cc of formula per 100 grams of body weight over the course of the day. Newborns typically feed every 2-4 hours. If they are good eaters you can let them nurse until they are full and their bellies are a little tight. If they are not nursing well then they may need more feedings but try to get them to eat 1/2 ounce. Around 3 weeks old you can usually stop the night feedings and just do frequent feedings during the day. Remember to gently stimulate them with a warm cloth to go to the bathroom

Great question! They should get 15-20ml per day for every 100g body weight when they are two weeks of age. Divide this by the number of feedings they get per day, which should be six to eight feedings a day, and that will give you how much they should get at each feeding. At three and four weeks, they should get 20ml per day for every 100g of body weight. This is just a rough estimate, however, and it's always better to underfeed than overfeed. Feed them until their belly is gently rounded but not beyond that. As long as they are steadily gaining weight, they will be fine. I hope this helps!

I recommend using a bottle with a small nipple - you can find kits for newborns at most pet supply stores. A commercial milk replacer like KMR is best, and you should feed the kitten every 2-3 hours. The kitten should be taking about 25 ml of milk per day and you should offer the bottle with the kitten laying on its stomach, not held on its back like a baby. You will also need to stimulate the kitten to urinate and defecate after eating by rubbing a warm washcloth on the genital and anal openings - neonatal kittens cannot urinate or defecate on their own. If the kitten is not interested in the bottle you may need to tube feed and should see your veterinarian for a demonstration.
