Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Exotic | Unknown - Exotic | Male | neutered

I have a ferret that haa been seen. They put him on antibiotics and a gut med for diahrea. They wanted to do xrays which is out of our ability now. That was 3 days ago. He is eating babyfood off a spoon and still drinking water if i hold waterbottle for him. No vomiting. He has no energy. He does seem to be getting better. But its been 3 days and i dont want him to suffer cause my son and i are not willing to let him go.

You mention that Snowball is getting better with treatment, so I would not give up yet. Just as when a child is sick, animals will need time to get better and healthy. Keep on pampering him and spoon feeding him until he eats by himself, make sure he gets enough fluid, and keep him warm. He should be improving a little every day. It can take a good few days for him to get healthy, so as long as he is steadily improving there is hope.
