Is eucalyptus poisonous to cats if I hang it in my bathroom?

These oils are known to contain phenols and may be toxic to cats. I would recommend not use them also because they are not completely effective against fleas as well. I would recommend to use a prescription product taken from your local veterinarian. Bravecto or stronghold or comfortis are all safe and excellent products with tested efficacy.

Lavender oil is listed as toxic to cats in most toxicology databases. Inhaling it may cause respiratory irritation. If enough is inhaled, it may cause serious toxicity. Given how dangerous it is, not having it in the house at all would be recommended.

Diffusing eucalyptus around dogs can be harmful if it's used for a long period of time within a small space. If it is a large space and you do it for a short time it may be OK. Remember, a dog's nose is 5 times more sensitive to smells than ours so I'm sure you can see how it may be irritating to the nasal passages, sinuses and lungs. The biggest problem with essential oils is not the smell, but when the oil gets onto the cat and they lick it off. Tea tree oil is toxic to cats, and I would not use it at all in your home, as there is a chance Poe could lick the oils and become very sick. Lavender is also toxic, as are citrus oils (orange) and eucalyptus. Peppermint and lemongrass are the only safe ones you have to use around Poe, and I would restrict your use to those essential oils only. You can also use cedar wood and rosemary.

Lavender, orange (can extend to blood orange), and peppermint are all toxic to cats so I would not use them at all. Cats have a much more sensitive sense of smell than humans, and even the smell of these can be very irritating. I don't ever recommend using any essential oils around cats due to the risks, and I would see if you can make the candle tarts in a place away from your cat. I hope this helps!

While direct contact with undiluted essential oils can be toxic to cats using a few drops in a spray or diffuser is unlikely to cause any problems.
