My cat died. How do I cope with the pain and grief of pet loss?

Hi, sorry to hear about your loss. I totally understand how lost you feel, I have been through the same a few times and recently I have lost my mum who was extremely precious to me.. I stayed by her side 21 days and when I left for one night she died in hospital on her own. I wonder if she was scared and frightened and I wasn’t there.. I also feel bad for trying to make her move, as they advised me to do, because she was in pain and since she passed away probably didn’t need the extra aggravation. I am so very sorry that you lost Charlie. Every time I lose one of my kitties, I am devastated, so I can feel with you. Our pets experience grief and loss, and just like people, it takes them a variable amount of time to deal with that loss. If Brostom was very close with the other cat, he might benefit from having another cat in the home to keep him company. If you decide to pursue this, I recommend a slow introduction and keeping the new cat in a separate room for a few days where they can smell each other under the door. If this increases Brostom's agitation, then it might not work, but I think it would be worth trying. I hope this helps.

Oh this is so sad and difficult! I am so sorry for your loss of Furby. It is never easy to lose a part of the family and I am sure Theo is grieving as well. You made the right choice by giving him the blanket that Furby passed away on. Give Theo some time as he will start improving over time. Just make sure he is continuing to eat and drink.
