My two cats fight. How can they coexist with a baby on the way?

The best way to reintroduce them is by doing it very slowly and for short amounts of time and always supervised while they get used to each other. If you are persistent and consistent, you may get them to get used to each other. There is a chance that they will not get along and you may have to keep them separate. Unfortunately there is not an easy solution.Most cats all eventually get use to each other an work things out. Don't force them to be together. Separate them when you are not physically with them so that they cannot harm each other. Have separate feeding/watering/litter areas and sleeping areas. This will decrease stress. Purchase a couple cat trees with boxes on top to hide. This will also decrease stress. Lastly, purchase a pheromone diffuser like Feliway. This can help as well. Just like some people, some Cats don’t get along. Trying Feliway diffusers in the house may decrease the stress level. These can be purchased at any major pet store. I would recommend waiting until your female cat has had the kittens before really changing anything. IT is possible she is protective and unfriendly to the other cat due to being pregnant. You can get feliway a cat pheromone to help decrease stress in the house. Also, you can try to increase litter boxes and areas of elevation to help calm the two cats. I hope that helps

I'm sorry to hear your cat isn't doing well in your home anymore. If you have enough space in your home, you could try separating the two cats temporarily with a gate while we try to re-introduce them again. Feliway Friends is a cat pheromone spray which can help cats get along better. I see you live in Poland, perhaps you can try your local vet or purchasing it online. You can have them eat side by side, but with a gate between them. That may help them get used to each other's scents and start to associate their interactions with something positive (eating). Make sure that you have separate food and water dishes for the two cats, and at least 3 litter boxes in the house. Take it very slow and don't be too rushed to introduce them again. As much as we try, two cats may never get along but we can at least try to have them be civil toward each other! Best of luck!

Get some Feliway (https://www.shoppingbag.pk/search/feliway-diffuser.html) diffuser for the room your cats spend time in. It will take time, sometimes 6 months before they will either tolerate each other or be friends. Be patient. The cats will have to work it out amongst themselves.

Thanks for using PetCaoch! It’s not uncommon to hear about behavior like Alyssa. It can take a lot of time and patience for them to get along but here are some tips for decreasing stress for Alyssa in the short term. -Feliway- calming cat pheromone- comes in many forms from pet stores or online. 

 - Adding a litter box. Studies show that the ideal number of litter boxes for a home is #of cats +1 . This is regardless of how clean you keep his current litter box. 

- making sure she has plenty of “high space”. The safest (and therefore least anxiety-inducing) place for a cat is up. If you don’t already, get a cat tree or put up a shelf or two that she can go perch on. 
 Feeding them in separate rooms with two or three water bowls throughout the home is also a good idea as perceived competition for resources is a common problem in cats. Best of luck to you and your kitties!
