My cat won't eat alone. How to move her food bowl to the kitchen?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Siamese | Female | spayed | 5 months and 19 days old | 4.41 lbs

Hello, Skye's food has always been in the laundry room, she won't eat unless I'm setting beside her so I want to switch it to the kitchen where I'm most of my time. Is it okay to just put the food there and show her where it is or it will take her a while to figure it out? Thank you!

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Skye. You can start by adding a second food and water bowl in the kitchen. Leave the bowls in both rooms for about a week to allow her to learn the new location. Then you can remove the bowls from the laundry room if you wish. This should ease the transition for her. I hope this information helps!
