Cat losing weight, diarrhea, bleeding, pain: affordable vet options?

If this was caused by a food change I would expect him to be back to normal by now. There may be something else underlying going on here that is the cause of Zebco's diarrhea and weight loss, such as intestinal parasites, pancreatic disease, diabetes, or even thyroid disease. I would recommend taking him to your vet for a through examination and potential tests (bloodwork, fecal exam), to hopefully identify the underlying problem so that he is treated appropriately. In the meantime I would suggest feeding Zebco a bland diet of boiled plain chicken and rice or cottage cheese to help settle his stomach a bit. Weight loss and diarrhea are concerning for either a gut disease (allergies, dietary indiscretion, toxin, IBD, etc.), or other severe systemic disease (kidney disease, liver disease, etc), however systemic disease sounds less likely. She likely has eaten something that has upset her stomach. I would recommend getting her to a vet when you first can, and in the mean-time I would get her a high quality canned cat food. You want one that is low in fat and high in fibre. The canned food is better to help keep Bibi hydrated. If Bibi won't eat, you can try syringe feeding her. The watery eyes can be signs of a virus or infection, hard to tell without seeing her, however I would address her weight loss and diarrhea first. You do nothave to worry about cinstipation with bloody diarrhea. She may have an infection or inflammatory bowel that is causes part of these symptoms. Since there is blood in the stool she needs to be checked to see what medicine can be given. You can try to switch to a sensitive stomach formula food and add a feline probiotic to help replenish normal bacteria until you can get seen

Given his weight loss, chronic diarrhea, normal blood work and initial response to depomedrol, chronic pancreatitis or primary intestinal issues, such as inflammatory bowel disease or lymphoma would be my main concerns. In this situation, further diagnostic testing is often needed to try to get to the bottom of this issue. Some tests include vitamin absorption and pancreatic blood tests (B12, folate, TLI, fPL) and an abdominal ultrasound to look at his internal organs, intestinal thickness, lymph nodes, etc. In some cases, biopsies are needed to differentiate between different conditions so that the most appropriate treatment can be started.
