Why is my adopted cat still vomiting and hacking after vet visits?

Congrats on your new cat, but I'm sorry Hana isn't doing well! It is concerning that she is experiencing both vomiting and diarrhea, and it could be caused by a change in diet, intestinal worms, a GI illness, or a foreign body among other things. The Drontal can also cause some GI upset as well. I do think it's a good idea that Hana is seen by a vet since she is experiencing both vomiting and diarrhea, and I would see if your vet can see her tomorrow along with your other cat. Hold off on the cat probiotics for now since she is vomiting, and talk to the vet to see if they feel they will be helpful to her. I would withhold food for tonight, she can have water, and then give her some boiled white meat chicken (no bones) in small amounts in the morning to see if she can keep that down. If she is still sick despite seeing her veterinarian, then I suspect she will need a further work up. She may need blood and urine testing, fecal testing as well as x-rays of her belly. Destiny may be dehydrated from the vomiting. If the veterinarian did not administer fluids under the skin already, I would recommend calling the vet back and seeing if this is something that can be done or if it is something that needs to be done. In a young cat, vomiting may be a sign of infectious disease such as a virus, parasites or even a foreign object causing a gastrointestinal obstruction. Contact the organization or individual you obtained Beckem from and inquire about his vaccination and deworming status. If he continues to vomit this evening, make an appointment to see a veterinarian as soon as possible. If the condition deteriorate prior to the morning, take him to the nearest veterinary emergency hospital.

There are a plethora of causes for cough and vomiting/regurgitation which is what it sounds like he has. Chest x-rays are the first diagnostic needed to assess the lungs for disease, so I would recommend having some taken. If they were taken initially, retaking them would be a good idea. With the vomiting, abdominal x-rays could be helpful as well. This is a case where a consultation would be helpful as I could ask more pointed questions and perhaps guide you with a better list of likely causes to the issue. I am so sorry that your furry friend Ralph is doing so poorly after a dewormer. You would think if this was the cause that she would have recovered by now. If x-rays didn't show a blockage and labwork came back normal, then it sounds like Ralph just needs supportive care. If he is vomiting things back up at home, then the best course of action here is to admit her to the hospital for a few days so that she can get IV fluids and IV medication until he is well enough to be discharged. Some pets just need extra support, especially older, more sensitive pets. If she is still not doing well after 24 hrs of hospitalization, then I would suggest getting an abdominal ultrasound done on her to get a closer look at things. If the energy level is normal for this kitten and he is acting otherwise fine, I would continue to monitor and maybe syringe feed some water if he is not drinking enough to help prevent dehydration. If he is lethargic and continues to vomit, then I would take him in to be looked at by a veterinarian so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made.
