My cat is vomiting for 3 days but still active. What's wrong?

My cat is vomiting since 3 days... dont know why???she ia active having fud all good but vomiting like in a day two times...what happened?

I hate to hear Lulu is not feeling well. Any pet vomiting beyond 24 hours should be examined by the veterinarian. Just like humans, there are many many causes of vomiting and some of the causes can be very serious. I recommend to have Lulu examined today. Hi and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Sorry to hear about Findik. Any sign of illness in a pet that persists or worsens needs to be evaluated by your veterinarian and re evaluated until the problem is solved or they refer you to another vet/or you go to another vet for a second opinion. Not sure if Findik is an indoor/outdoor cat but I would advise deworming her since she appears to be having some vomiting but is not sick. That is an easy thing to do to rule out intestinal parasites and should be done in all cases of gastrointestinal upset as long as the medication can be safely given and it is not vomited back up. Intestinal parasites are extremely common across the globe and account for the vast majority of vomiting and diarrhea cases. Other causes include inflammation, infection, dietary problems (including dietary indiscretion or eating things pets are not supposed to eat, food sensitivities/allergies), ingestion of foreign bodies or exposure to toxins, bacterial overgrowth in the gut, problems in the stomach, intestines, or even problems outside of the intestinal tract/stomach including pancreatitis, kidney/liver problems, metabolic disease (diabetes,etc), endocrine diseases (thyroid or other hormone problems), etc. So if the problem doesn't resolve after a broad spectrum dewormer I would advise what I described above. A thorough history and physical exam with resultant diagnostics such as fecal tests, blood tests, and more imaging studies such as x-rays/ultrasound to try to determine what is going on. Good luck with Findik. I hope this resolves quickly with little effort.

Vomit is a symptoms usually referred to a problem located in the gastrointestinal system. It can be secondary to a dietary indiscretion. It could be caused by a stomach inflammation (gastritis) or if he is having soft feaces as well can be an upset of the whole gastrointestinal system. Pancreatitis might be another option and cannot be ruled out at this stage. Vomit can also be a secondary to systemic diseases (i.e. renal failure). If it's already 3 days and not improving I recommend a consultation with your veterinarian asap for a full health check. Bobo is not drinking therefore he might be dehydrated and possibly need hospitalization and fluidotherapy to restore the fluid losses. I'm unsure of the timeline of the vomiting for Sake. I always recommend to play it safe when in doubt and have Sake examined today. My cat is vomiting, not eating, and lethargic. Is it an emergency?

Poor Moe! From what you're describing here, I'm afraid he sounds quite sick. Vomiting, not eating, and acting lethargic are always very concerning symptoms, especially since he's been sick for 2-3 days now and seems to be getting worse. Unfortunately, these are very vague symptoms that could be caused by almost any kind of illness, so it's hard to say what might be wrong without being able to examine him and run some tests. I do think that this sounds like a serious, potentially life-threatening problem that shouldn't wait until tomorrow, so I would recommend taking him to an emergency clinic today to be seen. If you're not sure where to go, try calling your regular vet's office - their voicemail message should have contact information for your nearest ER or an on-call doctor for emergencies.

Why is my cat throwing up clear, has wet poop, and coughing?

Poor Pudding! Just like people, there are many conditions that can make pets vomit. This could range from bacterial over growth to intestinal blockage. Any pet vomiting beyond 24 hours, vomiting multiple times, not drinking water or acting very lethargic should be examined by the veterinarian to be safe. Pets with multiple issues are likely more sick. It's better to play it safe than be sorry. At home, Pudding should rest today so no playtime or vigorous activity. Fasting her for 6 hours followed by a bland diet for 24 hours may help as well but is not a substitute for a visit to her veterinarian. I hope Pudding starts feeling better quickly! Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I’m sorry to hear Cuppy isn’t feeling well. If she isn’t eating, I recommend taking her to a vet to find out why. Cats cannot go more than a few days without eating. They will start by doing a physical exam and will likely recommend lab work to see how her organs are functioning and the status of her red and white blood cells. They may also run a thyroid test to determine if it’s over-active. The vet may need to take radiographs of her abdomen to rule out a foreign object or other abnormalities. Once a diagnosis is made, they should be able to give her some medications to help her feel better. Good luck and kisses to Cuppy!

My cat is throwing up, not eating, and sneezing a lot. What's wrong?

Hi and thanks for posting on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Vomiting several times a day for a week along with not eating or drinking much is certainly concerning. The sneezing could indicate a respiratory infection. There are lots of health reasons for her symptoms and Lilly really should see her veterinarian as soon as possible to have her evaluated and treated. Your veterinarian will do an exam and may recommend additional testing such as blood work or x-rays to pin down a cause so Lilly can get the treatment she needs and start to feel better.
