My cat vomited, now has a tear stain on one eye. Should I worry?

Vomiting can be observed with conditions such as gastroenteritis, pancreatitis, dietary indiscretion, gastrointestinal foreign body ingestion and obstruction, among other possibilities. For this reason, I highly recommend that you have Google evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment as soon as possible as I am afraid she is likely becoming dehydrated. They would be able to check for these possibilities and also check her hydration status and give her medications to make her feel better. Good luck!

The watery eye might be due to an eye infection, if it persists it will require an antibiotic eye drop. the vomiting might be a one time thing, but if it reoccur in the next 24 hours then it's probably a gastrointestinal infection, this might require a vet visit in order to get it treated.

The vomiting could be from residual irritation from the ribbon or there could be more ribbon that is causing an obstruction. It is also possible it is completely unrelated to the ribbon in general: intestinal parasites, hair ball, ate something else gross (plant, etc), pancreatitis, food allergy/intolerance, reaction to a new food/treat/table food. You can continue to watch him but if he continues to vomit or stops eating that is an emergency and he needs to see a vet for an exam and an X-ray to check for a blockage. I wish you the best!

Gently clean it with warm water, and monitor it. If it looks infected, or she rubs at it, you see redness in the eye, or eye discharge, then I would take her into a vet. I hope this helps!

If it is not bothering Fergie and she is acting as normal, you should monitor her at home for now. However, if she scratches the area excessively or the eyelids become swollen or painful, you should take your cat to your local vets for an appointment.

Hello and thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. From the pictures you posted it does not look that there is anything very serious going on with her left eye. Squinting the eye could be result of trauma (usually scratch from another cat) or infection. Please, keep wiping the eye and giving her soothing eye drops. If the eye is not back to normal after 5-6 days, you will have to try and get her seen by a vet.
