My cat can't move, won't drink, and has fluid in his neck. Help!

Oh no poor guy. There isn't much you can do for him at home in such a dire situation as this. He needs medical care unfortunately. If your vet is closed then I would highly recommend taking him in to an ER vet who is available after hours and is readily available to take care of Shadow in such an emergency type situation as this. If he isn't able to move, then I too would be suspicous of a stroke event, a saddle thrombus (clot in the lower abdomen), a urinary blockage (especially if he is vocal and unable to urinate), or some other cardiac disorder. He need immediate veterinary attention if you are going to be able to help Shadow at this time. This is definitely an abnormal presentation. Possible causes include stroke, blood clot formation, heart disease, neurologic disorder, tick paralysis, trauma, among other things. Since this is a very acute occurrence (meaning is just happened), I recommend that Oreo see a vet as soon as possible for evaluation and diagnostics.

This is a medical emergency, and your cat needs to see a vet now. I'm very concerned he could have gotten into sometime toxic or has a very serious illness. He needs to have veterinary care right away, or I'm afraid this could be fatal. Please take him into a vet immediately.

This sounds like a very serious injury and I would strongly recommend that he be seen by a veterinarian immediately. If he is drinking and the water is coming out of the wound, this will very likely require surgery, along with antibiotics and pain medications.

I’m sorry to hear about Rudy! The picture of the eyes didn’t upload but honestly that’s probably not his main problem. Any animal that has not moved or eaten in 4 days needs to see the emergency vet immediately. Rudy is likely severely dehydrated at this time and very likely in shock. Common reasons for this in a 15 year old cat are kidney failure, unregulated Diabetes, and cancer. I do not recommend anything by mouth unless he is swallowing well and holding himself upright. If he is, small amounts of water as often as you can. Stop immediately if he starts coughing, gagging, or vomiting. I am so sorry again that his came on so suddenly. I am sorry to hear about Dusky! If his skin is tenting due to dehydration, he needs more help than you can provide at home. I would recommend getting him to a veterinary clinic/hospital ASAP. He needs fluid replacement through and IV or under his skin to help improve his hydration more rapidly. They can also examine him and may recommend bloodwork to check for things like liver or kidney damage in case he got into any toxins while out.
