Why does my 14-year-old cat have a swollen eye that looks like a black eye?

His eye, at first was under pressure think the other cats clawed him now it more like black eye cause of the swollen underneath. He is 14 indoor cat.

Your poor kitty! That looks very painful. Your kitty needs to see a vet soon for this problem. Cat scratches to the eye can be very serious. All that is visible in the photo appears to be inflammed conjunctival tissue. This may be the primary problem or more likely something is going with the eye or structures associated with the eye/orbit. An eye exam needs to be performed to get to the cause of the problem and to get your kitty some medications. I hope this helps and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach!
