My cat has a hunched back, isn't eating, and sleeps all day. What's wrong?

"Loafing" and hunching like that can be a sign of pain, so I think you're right to worry, especially if Ova is also not eating as much as she used to. I think it would be a good idea to schedule a vet visit, and also bring in a sample of her stool to check for things like parasites, blood in the stool, etc that could be causing some stomach pain. Your vet can also work with you to see if maybe she is allergic to her food and needs a diet change to help with appetite and pain, and can also help rule out more serious issues such as inflammation, tumors, obstructions, etc in the gut.

Not drinking water is concerning because cats can get dehydrated very quickly if not drinking. Possibilities at this point include pancreatitis, gastroenteritis, among many other possibilities. Eating the mole is unlikely to be playing a factor though it could be. I highly recommend that you have Kneads evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. It sounds like he should be examined by a vet to rule out a medical problem. He could have an infection, parasite, metabolic, and/or endocrine disease and your vet can run blood work to help diagnose and the determine if treatment is needed. Hope he feels better soon!

What you are describing are some very general signs, and unfortunately it's going to take a bit of detective work in the form of a vet visit for exam and testing to figure out what's going on. Vomiting could be due to a number of causes, both GI-related (infection with virus or bacteria, parasites, foreign body blockage) and non-GI (kidney disease, toxin exposure, liver disease, etc). The lethargy (only walking) is a very general sign that usually occurs when animals don't feel well, and the lower back pain could be related to GI issues (i.e. abdominal pain) or another problem entirely. Please get Daytona seen by his vet right away to start figuring out what is going on, if he is still displaying these signs.

He should be examined by your veterinarian. Blood work including a urinalysis should be done to assess major organ function and to diagnose kidney infection or urinary tract infection. Abdominal xrays may diagnose foreign body, masses, bladder/kidney stones or bladder inflammation. Supportive care or pain management may be indicated to keep him comfortable until a diagnose is reached.
