My cat strains to pee, shakes, and has a hard lump. Is it serious?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 17 days old

Seems to be constipated, slightly shaking, hard lump lower abdominal right above penis, bearing down as if trying to use bathroom while laying.

Hi. I would take Chronic straight to the ER. This could be a sign of urinary blockage, which is an emergency and can lead to death if not treated right away. It takes an exam to find out. If it isn't that then they can take an xray to check for constipation. Good luck
