How to stop my cat from scratching his sore and help it heal?

Depending on where it is located, you could try to do a light neck wrap using rolled gauze or a ace bandage. Do NOT stretch the material. Just lightly wrap it. You could also get a cone collar to prevent him from scratching if the sore is far enough up on the neck. I would try to use some oral Benadryl and Benadryl spray to help with e itching. You can also put a small amount of Neosporin on it twice a day to help it heal. If it isn't improving, I would have your vet take a look. I see what you mean about Moog's sore. I would gently clean the wound with warm water and antiseptic soap. To keep him from licking at it, you can put an Ecollar on him. You can get one at a pet store or make one at home. Keep the wound clean and dry, and monitor it for signs of infection. If you see redness, swelling, warmth to the touch, or pus, then it is infected and he will need to see the vet for antibiotics to treat it.

I'd recommend getting him looked at. The woundscon his face could be from allergies or an infection. Also I'm in the US and in Iran there could be other causes for the wounds. Good luck!

Hello from across the pond! I would try and keep it clean by washing the lesion with a mild soap and water. Nothing else to keep from irritating the wound further. From the pictures you posted, it does look like there is a bit of yellow discharge coming from the wound indicating an infection. You vet may prescribe antibiotics when you see him/her soon.
