Hello, Rules on vaccination for spaying cats will vary from every independent hospital. I would recommend calling low cost spay and neuter programs in your area to discuss getting her spayed and at minimal, a rabies vaccination. If she is a warrior kitten, then Artemis is great name for her! Feline core vaccines include FVRCP (feline distemper combo) and a rabies vaccine. At four months of age, she will need two rounds of each vaccine given four weeks apart. You should do the FVRCP vaccine first, then two weeks later the rabies vaccine. The second FVRCP vaccine should be done four weeks after the first one, and the same goes for the rabies vaccine. It's not recommended to give the FVRCP and rabies together at the same time. Have plenty of toys for her to play with, and get interactive toys so you can play with her. I hope this helps!

Yes you can most certainly use a Capstar this close to surgery because this medication usually works within 1 hr, lasts only 24 hrs and has no affect on the cardiovascular or respiratory system, so its safe to use same day of surgery if needed. In fact, in practice we often give this medication to surgery pets right before their surgery if they have fleas to prevent the spread of fleas to other hospitalized pets. So no worries. It wouldn't hurt to let them know you gave the medication. However you should consider putting Darcy on a flea preventative as well to prevent re-infestation, because chances are that the fleas have laid eggs in the environment as well, and since Capstar is not a preventative, it will be out of her system after 24 hrs has passed.

Kittens are old enough to be vaccinated for the first time at 6-8 weeks of age. Flea treatment depends on the product, as certain products can only be used when the kitten reaches a specific age. I don't recommend flea collars, they generally are pretty poor products. You can use Revolution, which is a spot on flea treatment, on a kitten at least 6 weeks of age.

I would have her spayed as soon as possible, as you do want it done before she goes into heat the first time. Cats can go into heat as early as six months of age, so it's best to get it done now. 2. Good on you for vaccinating her! I would get the chlamydia vaccine as soon as possible for her as it's highly contagious. You can do it as soon as two weeks after the rabies vaccine.
