Is my cat's sparse belly fur normal, or should I take him to a vet?

I can't 100% tell where that bald spot is located but it looks like it is just a nipple. It's normal to have thinner or no hair surrounding a nipple so if that is on the belly I wouldn't be concerned. As long as it remains a normal color and is not irritating Dylan or Jackson I would not be concerned. Certainly monitor for changes and bring them to see your veterinarian if you become concerned. Some cats are prone to get stressed and as a result they lick themselves excessively. Moving a house can be enough stress for Kai to show this behaviour. Please, try Feliway diffuser for 5-7 days as it often helps in this situations. However, if there is no improvement you should take Kai to your local vets for an appointment.

It does not seem irritated so there is no need at this time to seek veterinary care. I see what you mean about the fur loss. I'm wondering if his belly getting fat is because he doesn't go outside anymore. When he was outside, he would have been more active, burning more calories. Because he lives indoors now, he won't be as active, so he won't be burning as many calories, leading him to gain weight. You should speak to his vet about cutting back his food to help him lose weight. The fur loss may be normal, my cat's belly looks just like that as well but I'd still have it checked out by a vet to be safe. I hope this helps.

It is normal to have a small area of thin hair in front of the ears, such as what you're seeing in Brownie, so that is not a concern as long as Brownie isn't acting abnormal by scratching excessively at the ears or showing other signs of discomfort. His hair otherwise looks nice and thick in the photos so I suspect he has normal shedding, which you can help control with regular brushing. However, if there are patches of distinct hair loss, or if he seems itchy, then you should have a vet take a look to make sure he doesn't have a skin condition requiring medication. Hope this helps.

This could be a pollen, dust, fleas, food- anything she could be exposed to. I recommend taking her to a vet so they can see the area and make sure its not a skin infection, too. Neutering will not cause baldness. Pets can have a bald belly for many reasons.
