Why is my cat sniffing everything like it's new? Is it normal?

Your cat just smells something that you can't and has for one reason or another taken a liking or curiosity to it. I don't think there is any reason to believe it is a mating behavior or because of the weather. Cats can detect small differences in the microenvironment that you and I can't even begin to appreciate. This is why both cats and dog do things that often amaze us.

It could be Sanoe's nose is irritated when she bumps something, causing her to sneeze. Given she is acting otherwise normal, I'd keep an eye on her for now. If this behavior continues over the next 24-48 hours or she develops other symptoms such as coughing, increased discharge from her eye, lethargy, or decreased appetite, have her seen by a vet.

He may be having vision problems, high blood pressure or might have had a seizure. If his pupils are wide open, please take him to an out of hours or emergency veterinarian now. He may have high blood pressure and fast intervention can reverse any blindness caused by this. If his pupils are normal and react normally, take him to a vet tomorrow for an exam.

Kittens will try to sniff food to see if it is appetizing to them, and will try to eat it if it smells good. You may not be feeding her enough, and I would check the instructions on her food to make sure that she is getting the recommended daily allowance. It is not advisable to feed her human food, as there are many that are toxic to cats. I would try to keep her from eating your food, and increase her food as needed.

It is very normal for cats to adjust their behavior over time as they get used to things and people that once scared them, especially if your cat is exposed to it often over time through family or friends. Did Pernell go to the vet recently or leave the house for a period of time? When cats go to the vet or leave the house for a period of time (such as going to a kennel), they can come back smelling differently and that would cause the existing cat to view the returning cat as a stranger. Then that would lead to aggression. Or it could be that Gattino isn't feeling well. If he was in pain that would causing him to react aggressively to Pernell.
