Is it normal for my cat to sleep on my chest in the morning?

Sapphire probably likes to sleep on your chest because she is enjoying the warmth of your body and wants to be close to you. She gets mad because she's happy and comfortable, and doesn't want to be moved. She is likely biting you when you stop petting her to let you know she wants you to continue petting her. When cats find a comfy place to sleep, they don't like to move until they are ready to move, they can be very stubborn in that way! It's fine that you move her when you are uncomfortable, she will deal with it. I hope this helps!

Yes, cats love to curl up on people or touching them especially when it’s cold. My male cat is very vocal and he talks when he wants something so that is probably what going on with yours. That sounds like normal cat behavior. She is very comfortable with you and loves you. If you can't have her bothering you, like when you are practicing piano, it is best to put her in another room until you are done. I don't think there is anything wrong with her as long as she is eating, drinking, peeing and pooping normally.

It may just be that Mirz is more comfortable there if she's too hot/cold, however if you are seeing any other changes in addition to the change in sleeping spot such as weight changes, hair loss, changes in appetite, stool, activity, etc, it is always best to schedule a vet visit to rule out any more serious issues such as underlying illness or metabolic disease.

Yes it is normal for you to be able to see her chest rise and fall as she breathes but she shouldn't be breathing fast. Usually when resting they will have a respiratory rate of less that 20 breaths per minute. You can count this by counting each rise in her chest over a minute. If she is breathing rapidly or open mouth breathing then there is likely something seriously wrong like a respiratory infection or heart problem. And I would advise you to seek medical attention as soon as possible. I hope this helps.
