Why is my cat sleeping more, sneezing, and has persistent diarrhea?

It sounds as Dos is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking her to the vet urgently , she will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection she will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better. if the vet thinks it is more serious she will need a blood test and possibly an ultrasound in order to find out what is wrong.

Poor Jupiter! It sounds like the poor guys is pretty sick. Jupiter is likely dealing with an upper respiratory tract infection. Cats can get allergies but a URI is much more common. Many times they clear the infection but sometimes they need to be examined and treated by the veterinarian. If your kitty is not eating or drinking well, seems lethargic, squints the eyes, has discharge from nose or eyes, has trouble breathing or has a cough beyond 5 days , you pet should be examined by the veterinarian. The diarrhea could be caused by many things including worms, coccidia and bacterial infection (in addition to other causes). If the diarrhea has continued beyond 24 hours, I recommend to have him examined by the veterinarian. With continued diarrhea, there are often bacterial shifts in the gut that will make matters worse regardless of the initial cause. Make sure to bring in a sample of fresh stool. The doctor will check him for parasites and bacterial over growth. Many times a bland diet can help and then a slow, gradual introduction to the normal food can be done. Jack's eyes and stool most likely are not related although can be. He may have an upper respiratory infection, conjunctivitis (inflammation in the conjunctiva of the eyes which may be infection vs allergic), Jack can have a corneal ulcer (less likely if it is both eyes that are affected) or even allergies (which are less likely due to age). With all of his symptoms, including a runny nose and sneezing it seems more like an upper respiratory infection. It is a good sign that he is still full of energy. With his stool, it can be stress or intestinal parasites. It can also be that he got into something he wasn't supposed to or even a virus. When you go to the veterinarian I would recommend bringing a stool sample so the veterinarian can make sure there are no intestinal parasites. They may dispense eye medication and medication to help with the diarrhea. Depending on the cause they find it just may be antibiotics for the diarrhea or it may be a dewormer. Hi there and thank you for using pet coach to address your concern. The black dots are likely black heads from chin acne. There is not much that is effective at treating chin acne apart from benzoyl peroxide gels which have limited efficacy. I would discuss using these gels with your vet first. The sneezing may be allergy related or viral. I would monitor this for now and if it continues, would recommend having a veterinarian examine her so thst the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. As for the diarrhea, there can be many causes of this but the most common we see in vetwrinary medicine can be related to the diet or intesyinal bacteria content. I would recommend switching to a different food in addition to a probiotic such as Purina fortiflora which can be found online quite easily or at your local pet store. I hope this helps! I am a little uncertain on what is meant by loose motion, but if Chikoo is experiencing upper respiratory signs such as discharge from the nose or sneezing as your describe, and that is associated with decrease in appetite and decreased water consumption, he may need to visit his veterinarian as soon as possible. If he has a upper respiratory infection, he may need antibiotics and IV fluids if he is very dehydrated from not drinking. much. Best of luck to you!

It's not uncommon to see vomiting/diarrhea from a cat from a shelter. Pogba could have a mild G.I. infection was something like G.I. parasites or a bacteria. It also could be due to recent diet change. The sneezing could also indicate a mild upper respiratory tract infection. If any of those signs continue I recommend Pogba get looked at by a veterinarian to make sure nothing more serious is going on and that no medication as needed. However if Pogba stays bright and alert, is eating and drinking and the diarrhea resolves as well as the vomiting it should be OK to monitor him at home.

It is most likely that he has a viral form of cat flu, this is really common especially in cats who have been in shelters. There is no treatment for the virus as such, if he seems particularly unwell it may have become bacterial so a trip to the vet and sone antibiotics may be required. The diarrohea could be infection or just inflammation from stress/ intolerance etc. If it is intermittent I would try a gadtroitestinal food and you could give a pribiotic. If it becomes regular you should go to the vet.
