My cat has growing skin bumps. Are they dangerous or just skin tags?

Hi there, Emmie could just have a benign skin tag, but any lump should be checked with fine needle aspirate (small poke into the bump to collect cells which then get checked on microscope). I have to admit that from the pics I cannot really understand if there is only one lesion or more bumps/lumps there. Generally speaking, this presentation could be due to a trauma or localized spot of skin infection (likely to be caused by bacteria or fungal). A check up, appropriate disinfection and possibly antibiotics or antifungal meds (oral, topical or in a shampoo formulation) are needed to solve the problem. Skin scrapes and small biopsies (if not already taken) can help to diagnose underlying cause of it. Disinfection may be started at home with very diluted hibiscrub or betadine or salted water baths. Buster collar may be useful as well to avoid any licking/scratching. If it is bleeding, getting bigger or causing discomfort to Cosmo, you should take him to your local vet for an appointment to rule out malignant skin mass. It it stays small and is not bothering your cat, you can monitor it at home for now.

Pets can get many types of lumps and bumps. Most of these tumors will be benign but some will be malignant and you can't tell by looks. If the bump is still there in 2 weeks, I recommend to have it checked out to be safe. The doctor may recommend to aspirate the mass to examine the cells under a microscope. That is one of the best ways to know what it is and if further action is needed. Hopefully it's nothing serious.

This looks like a nipple to me - look above and below it and you should see more nipples in a line if that’s what it is. If not I’d guess this is something like a skin tag or other skin growth and it would be a good idea to have your vet take a look when you get a chance to see if it’s something that should be removed. It does not look like a tick to me.

It looks like a benign cyst. I cannot be 100% sure though just by looking at a photo. I just suggest you monitor it for any major changes - like it gets much larger or changes in color - and if you notice that then have your vet check it.
