Is this a scab or ringworm on my cat's neck? Can I use human cream?

I'm really sorry but it is impossible to tell anything from the photos. I do appreciate you trying to post them though! They are very grainy especially when I try to enlarge them. I can't tell if it is a wound, a ringworm lesion or what. I don't think I would be "worried" but I would concerned enough to get her to your vet for an exam. If it is ringworm, it can be transmitted from cats to humans. You need to know what the lesion is before starting any treatment. You are welcome to post again with better photos but please understand it is impossible for us to diagnose (and it is also against the law) over the internet so you will likely get the same response. That does not look like a typical ringworm lesion to me. It is too angry and red. That being said- self trauma can make a lesion look horrible. Skin lesions can be bacterial, fungal, foreign objects, insect bites or secondary to allergies. I would recommend taking Simba in to a veterinarian. They can do an exam and some diagnostics to discover the cause. That lesion could be bacterial. Once they get a diagnosis, they will get him a treatment plan to get him feeling better. Hello, thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. This spot looks like ringworm to me. That is probably why your ointment is not working. I suggest you get Loki to the vet for an exam. They can give you a proper diagnosis and prescribe the correct medication.

That could be a ringworm patch on Tinsel. Unfortunately without seeing her in person, I can't say for certain. Don't touch it, as ringworm is highly contagious to humans as well. Have her seen by a vet on Monday who can confirm if she has ringworm and can prescribe an oral anti-fungal medication. If she does has ringworm, you will have to disinfect your home because the spores can live in it up to 18 months. I will put a link below on how to do this. Hello, thank you for using PetCoach. This does not look like ringworm. It just looks like scratches or abrasions. If he is stray he most likely has fleas that is causing him to scratch that area. This can be a scab from scratching due to allergies or an injury or it can be ring worm. I would keep it clean with soap and water and wash your hands well after contact as ring worm can be contagious to people. I would have your vet check the area to see which is the cause as they have different treatments.
