Hey! My kitty has a red, maybe raw spot on his thigh. It also seems to be secreting water. Should I be worried?

I highly recommend you take your cat to a veterinary office for a hands on exam and determination what is causing this lesion. This could be bacterial or fungal or allergic and the cause should be addressed specifically. This looks like a severe condition that will not just heal by itself.

Hi there and thank you for using Pet Coach to address your concern. From the photo, it looks like it could be an insect bite or a skin mass. I would monitor this for the next 2-3 days and if it does not go away, I would recommend having your veterinarian examine this to help better determine what this might be. Testing such as fine needle aspiration in which a small needle is inserted into the mass and the cells are looked at under a microscope can be done to help determine what the mass might be so that the most appropriate recommendations can be made for treatment. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction! If you have any other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to post them as I would be more than happy to help answer any others that you may have.
