this kind of lump/growth needs to be ideally and immediately assessed by your veterinarian to have a definitive and specific answer. Usually there are two ways your vet can do that a part from examining it directly during physical examination. A biopsy can be taken under local or general anesthetic, otherwise a smaller sample through a fine needle can be aspirated (this technique is called FNA= fine needle aspiration). Differentials include skin cysts, infections (an abscess), benign or more sinister type of tumors. Given that she has had it for a couple of weeks, I would have her seen by a vet for it. It may not be a blister, it could be a cyst. The vet can determine what is causing this skin problem and how best to treat it. I would take her into the vet on Monday or Tuesday. Good luck, I hope this helps!

It could be an area swollen from her hitting her chin on something or it could be an infection / pimple (acne). Any lumps/bumps that you notice on your pet should be checked out by your vet. Lumps in this location can be any of these things: * abscess (infection) * cyst * cancer (benign or malignant) * rodent ulcer I suggest you find a vet to take him to for an examination. There are no home treatments for any of these possibilities. Also, treatment depends on what the lump is - all those possibilities have different treatments.

If it was small and it is now drained and there is no inflammation present then it is probably fine to just keep an eye on her. It's hard to see what is going on from the photo. Bumps on the lips/chin can be a number of things, including feline acne, infections under the skin, allergies, etc. If Leo has trouble getting to the vet, I would definitely look into the sedative option, or see if there is a house call service near you that can come to you. Both of these options are a great way to make veterinary care a little easier. Since bumps on the chin may require having a sample taken of them to determine it's cause, sedatives may be needed regardless to ensure everyone is safe and calm during the procedure. Until you can get to the vet, I would continue to monitor the area for additional changes, keep it clean and dry, and if it is itchy or bothersome, place an Elizabethan (cone) collar on Leo to keep her from rubbing the spot which can lead to more irritation. If she's wary of the carrier, working on getting her used to it by leaving it out at all times and tossing treats in it/feeding her next to it may help make it a little easier if you do need to use it.

Hi there, This appears very similar to something called a "rodent ulcer" or Eosinophilic Granuloma Complex, but it may be something different, like an infection or a growth. Eosinophilic granulomas are often thought to stem from an overreactive immune system or allergies to insects, a protein in their food, or their environment. Many cases resolve with a course of medication. Some cats need to have strict flea control or a prescription diet.
