Is my cat pregnant? Her tummy is growing and she seems tired.

Mia does look like her abdomen is mildly distended, which may be due to pregnancy, or may be secondary to another underlying issue (fluid accumulation, etc.). If she is pregnant and her expected due date is in 2-3 weeks, an xray can verify pregnancy, as well as count how many kittens (if any) she is going to have (and sometimes kittens can be felt on physical examination). I would recommend having her evaluated by your regular veterinarian to determine if she is pregnant or if she has another underlying issue that needs to be addressed. Good luck!

That could be diagnosed at around 25th day of pregnancy by quite expert ultrasonographers, or possibly later (36-40th day) with abdominal radiographs or manual palpation. Unfortunately only the ultrasound can give you information about the vitality of the kittens. There are hormonal tests available as well, but not everywhere and cost could be higher. From these pictures it does appear that Coco’s abdomen is slightly distended. However, there can be many other reasons for abdominal distention such as fluid in the belly, heart disease, false pregnancy and/or intestinal parasites. My best recommendation would be to take Coco in the vet to be examined. This would give you a better idea of her overall health and they may be able to determine if she is pregnant. Hello, it is difficult to determine if Medenka is pregnant or if she has an additional disease. She could be pregnant based on those signs, however, cats usually do not get very big until they are towards the end of their pregnancy. I would recommend that you continue to monitor her as long as she is eating and drinking ok. If you note that she stops eating, drinking, develops any vomiting, or soft stools then she may have something else and would benefit from being evaluated by a veterinarian. If your local veterinarian does not treat cats, he may know some other veterinarian who does and would ask for his recommendation to someone else. Dandelion root has not been proven to be effective for treatment of any disease. Hope this helps and best of luck.

"Mama" is a very pretty girl! :) I agree that her abdomen definitely looks enlarged. It's possible that she could be pregnant, but the enlarged belly could also be caused by something else such as an abdominal tumor, heart or liver disease, or FIP (feline infectious peritonitis). Cats are only pregnant for 64 days on average, so if her belly has been swollen like this for more than a few weeks or so, I would be very concerned that something else is wrong. The best way to find out would be to take her to the vet for an exam - he/she can palpate her abdomen and may also recommend x-rays or ultrasound to help determine for sure what's going on.

Hello. It is very difficult to say if she is or is not pregnant from these pictures, because if she is only carrying 1 or 2 kittens, then she would not be as big as one carrying 4-6 kittens. And if she is truly 68 days into a pregnancy, she is overdue. If she does have kittens you should be able to rub on her abdomen & feel some substantial "bumps" at this point in time. Though hissing at your other cat may just be normal cat behavior when they don't know each other! I'm in the US so pricing maybe different and even in the US prices vary depending on location. An office visit is around $50. If she is pregnant they likely won't vaccinate her. Vaccines are around $25-$35 each and cats usually get 3 (with boosters). They won't charge to scan her for a microchip. Deworming is cheap, maybe $20. If you want to test her for feline leukemia and feline aids that may be $50. All in US dollars. Hope this helps!
