Why is my cat peeing in the laundry basket? Is it a UTI or stress?

Stress can certainly cause an accident in the house like this. if it only happened once and Tsuki seems otherwise healthy and OK, I would just continue to monitor, and clean/wash any areas she urinated on. If the accidents continue, she seems painful in the belly, vocalizes more, is going to the litter box more frequently, etc, then a vet visit to rule out UTIs is best.

One of the most common causes of inappropriate urination for a young adult cat is actually lower urinary tract disease. Cats can develop urinary tract inflammation and crystals or occasionally an infection that can cause discomfort and lead to them avoiding the litter box. If you notice any straining in the litter box or frequent urination, or if your cat urinates outside the box again I would recommend seeing your veterinarian for a physical exam and possibly a urinalysis before you assume that this is behavioral. The inappropriate defecation however is a little more suggestive of a behavioral problem, unless the stool was loose or had blood present. I'm wondering if this happened while the boxes were being cleaned today and were unavailable. You may also want to make sure you haven't changed the brand or type of litter and that you didn't use any strong smelling cleaners both of which could make the litter boxes less appealing to your cat. I doubt the skunk pelt is part of the problem.

A urinary tract infection could be the problem. This is the most likely cause of this type of behavior in a kitten. In older cats it is often a behavioral issue. I suggest you get Primrose to your vet for an exam and urinalysis.

Yes, I would bring Pigeon into the vet. This can be a sign of a UTI or bladder stones, and the only way to know for sure is to have her checked out by a vet, do bloodwork, and a urinalysis. Because she was using the box previously and now isn't, that can also be another sign something is wrong. Give her vet a call now to make her an appointment. Until she sees the vet, feed her wet/canned food, add water to it, and make sure she drinks a lot of water to help flush the bladder. I hope this helps!

This may be a urinary tract infection but it can also be from stress of moving. I would recommend bringing Romeo to a veterinarian to have him checked for a uti and then if there is no uti I recommend talking with your veterinarian about behavior medication. I recommend that she has a urine culture performed to ensure there is an infection present and the correct antibiotic is prescribed. If there is not an infection or if it has resolved, then she should have x-rays to look for bladder stones. If this is not the case, idiopathic cystitis is very common in cats. It's possible that Chicken may be going outside of the box because she's experiencing a bit of discomfort.
