My cat missed 3 days of UTI antibiotics. What should I do next?

It's best that Emma take her antibiotic as close as possible to her scheduled dose. If you absolutely cannot give it to her on time, I would not give it early. Give it later, and adjust the time you give her next dose to keep it on its prescribed scheduled. I hope this helps.

If he really has gone 12 hours without any urination, you will need to take him back into your veterinarian's office. Male cats do tend to get mucous plugs or stones which can block the urethra and lead to difficulty or the inability to urinate. Not eating or drinking anything either in 12hours is also a concern that needs to be addressed today with the veterinarian who saw and treated Moustachio yesterday. I hope this has helped. Perfect, you should give the medication some time to work, up to 10 days. As long as he is getting better within this time then he should be ok and his voice will return. However, if he is not doing better or if he is doing worse, then make sure you bring him back to his veterinarian immediately.

Sometimes antibiotics part the natural flora of the gut, you are doing the right thing in giving the probiotoc. It is difficult as obviously you want the uti to clear up, if Duck seems in good form otherwise and you can cope with the mess I would try and stick it out. If it gets really bad or continues a while see the vet.

I am sorry to hear about your kitty! Usually it will take a few days for the antibiotics to show marked improvement. That being said, urine in the blood if there was a large amount may take a few days more to improve. If her other symptoms (urinary urgency or accidents) are improved I would be less concerned. If at the end of the week she is still having blood I would let your vet know as they may want to check for things like a bladder stone or mass which could be causing bleeding.
