Just wanted to add that you can use Capstar (a flea tablet that is available over the counter) to kill maggots very effectively in cats - so this is something that you could try as well. Just give the tablet by mouth, and the maggots will die within 30 minutes to an hour in most cases.

    Maggots needs to be manually removed first, the usually frontline spray is used to prevent any new ones, if the infestation is severe you need to take your cat to the vet urgently and this will need to be done under sedation, your cat will also need a course of antibiotics.
