Cat has lump, peeing, diarrhea after vaccine. Are symptoms linked?

These signs may be related to the vaccine, but it is definitively hard to prove. If that was the case the signs would be usually self limiting and resolving. Given the persistency and severity of the signs I would recommend a check up anyway. The second possibility is that the gastrointestinal system is affected by an infection, who got worse with the vaccine. It could happen that the infection was in a sub clinical stage before vaccination, not showing any sign at physical examination. The lump needs to be checked and analysed as there are many conditions and types of tumors that could look like that. take Leo to the vet, they will perform a fine needle aspiration on the growth and send it to the lab for analysis. when the result comes, the vet will advise what needs to be done according to the diagnosis. I doubt there is a connection between the lump and the vomiting, but this needs to be checked as well.

However, it may also be unrelated and caused by a bug bite or skin infection. As for Tippy’s diarrhea, it is very unlikely that it was related to the vaccines. I recommend having her seen by a vet before she is boarded to rule out intestinal parasites or viral infections that are contagious to other dogs. Also, the stress of being boarded may make her symptoms worse, and the kennel staff may have to take her to the vet with your permission while you are away. Great question! This lump could be a localized reaction to the vaccine if the lump is in the area where the vaccine was given. Other options could be a cyst or a benign tumor. Given it's not painful and if she is otherwise acting normally, this isn't an emergency. It does need to be noted with your vet to verify if it is a vaccine reaction. Cats can have injection induced sarcomas which are cancer and require surgery. The general rule is if it is there longer than 3 months or gets larger, then surgery is warranted, otherwise they go away on their own I would have them document the vaccine site and the size for proper monitoring in the future.

Cats typically do not receive vaccines on their belly, they are given over the shoulders on their back; therefore, I do not think this mass you felt is due to her vaccines. It could be that Lucy has a benign tumor, cyst, abscess, or a malignant tumor (unlikely in a young cat) causing the lump, and I would have her seen by a vet for it. The vet can examine and diagnose it, and let you know if any treatment is needed.

I am so sorry that your cat Milo is ill following vaccines. These are classic signs for a vaccine reaction, and therefore I recommend having him seen by your vet right away. If you vet is currently not open, then I would consider taking him to your ER vet to make sure he is stable and ok. He will likely get medications (antihistamine +/- steroids) to help combat the reaction. I do hope that your pet Milo is able to make a full and speedy recovery. I would notify your vet about this as soon as you can so that precautions can be taken next year when he is due for his vaccine boosters to help prevent this from happening again.
