My dog has a tummy lump and is vomiting. Could they be linked?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Staffordshire Bull Terrier | Male | neutered | 2 years and 5 months old

Leo has a lump on the middle of his tummy. It is the size of a 5p piece. He is allergic to flea bites and has sensitive skin but regularly has flea meds. Just recently he has started to vomit up his dinner, he does eat it fast but I'm worried they could be connected.

The lump needs to be checked and analysed as there are many conditions and types of tumors that could look like that. take Leo to the vet, they will perform a fine needle aspiration on the growth and send it to the lab for analysis. when the result comes, the vet will advise what needs to be done according to the diagnosis. I doubt there is a connection between the lump and the vomiting, but this needs to be checked as well.
