Why is my cat limping with a painful leg lump? What could it be?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | unneutered | 7 months and 1 day old

Today my cat is not feeling well, it seems he can't move the way he use to, his having trouble moving, i discovered a half inch non movable rounded lump at the back of his back leg, and it seems to be painfull when i touch it, What could it be?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Snow. I recommend that he sees a veterinarian. The veterinarian will examine him to determine why his behavior has changed. To evaluate the mass, a small needle to collect a sample of cells to evaluate under the microscope. An infection under the skin known as an abscess can be painful. Skin cancer is possible or the mass could be benign. Based on these results, treatment can be started. I hope this information helps!
