My cat keeps licking privates and using the litter box a lot. UTI?

Male cats can develop a urinary obstruction, which is an emergency condition that needs to be evaluated right away, as it can be fatal. Otherwise, cats can develop bladder crystals, a urinary tract infection, or cystitis (an inflammation of the bladder). If Barbie is uncomfortable or experiencing pain from the infection, the twitching could be secondary to the infection. I would recommend that Barbie be examined by a veterinarian and have her urine tested to see if there is a urinary tract infection going on so that the most appropriate treatment can be recommended.
