My cat vomited, got meds. Still licking lips. Is it serious?

If she is continuing to vomit I would recommend rechecking with the veterinarian that originally saw her. Further testing should be performed such as blood work and abdominal x-rays. I would want to rule out a systemic disease or infection and an abdominal foreign body causing the vomiting. This could also be a dietary sensitivity. If the above testing is normal or you do not want to have this additional testing done, I would recommend switching to a different diet that has a different protein that Henry has not had before. If he has never had salmon or tuna before, I would feed this instead of what he is currently being fed. I would also recommend adding in a probiotic such as Purina Fortiflora. I hope this helps! If Coco is nauseated from something, it is difficult to say for sure the cause just based on the symptoms. Coco may have a systemic disease or infection going on that needs antibiotic therapy. I would recommend having a veterinarian examine Coco so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. Thank you for submitting your question regarding Maple. She could be licking her lips if she is still a bit nauseous. She could also have wounds in her mouth from the hydrogen peroxide. If she is better today, then I suspect she will do just fine. If she is still licking her lips, then I recommend checking her mouth for wounds and contacting her veterinarian. Cleaning solutions are usually irritating to the stomach and intestines, but don't tend to cause much internal toxicity besides that. If she is eating, drinking and acting normally, then I would not be too concerned. She may have diarrhea for a day or two also, but this is OK. If she continues to vomit for more than 24 hours, has diarrhea for more than three days, or is not eating, drinking and acting normally, then I recommend taking her to the vet. Otherwise, I think it will be safe for her to stay home under observation for the time-being. I hope that helps and all is well with Lily.

Time will tell with this one. Since she's eating, drinking, and not lethargic, you certainly don't need to seek emergency care tonight. If tomorrow she still seems out of sorts, or continues to vomit, I would recommend scheduling a vet appointment for exam and x-rays of her abdomen. Your cat needs to be seen by a vet as soon as possible for an exam and labwork so that he can be treated for his ailment right away. Not eating is a serious matter in cats. They cannot go more than a few days without eating or they risk liver damage. Your cat needs to be seen by your vet for an exam and bloodwork to determine the cause for your cat’s loss of appetite. Based on the findings, your vet will be able to give you a clearer picture of what is going on with your cat and be able to offer you treatment options. Try enticing your pet to eat with beef or chicken baby food that does not contain onion or garlic powder. Onion and garlic causes anemia. Warm it in the microwave for a few seconds. Stir it with your finger first to make sure there are no hot spots and that it isn't too hot. This makes it more aromatic and appealing to your pet. Wetting dry food or mixing wet food with low sodium chicken broth, also warmed, might entice your pet to eat. Some cats like to be petted while they eat, some want to be left alone. You'll know your cat's habits and be able to act accordingly.

I suggest you take her back to the vet for more testing - like bloodwork. I would be very worried that she may have a pyometra (uterine infection) if she is not spayed. It is probably unrelated to her licking the glue.
