My cat is very lethargic, he's not eating and his paws are cold to the touch

Loss of appetite and lethargy can be observed with many conditions such as gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, kidney disease, pancreatitis, among many other possibilities. Cold feet could be an indication of dehydration, low blood pressure, hypothermia, among many other possibilities. I recommend that you have Chaz evaluated by a veterinarian as soon as possible for further assessment and treatment as this can be something concerning. They would be able to check for these possibilities and others depending on the findings on exam. Treatment would be based on findings. Good luck and have a good night! Hoping for a speedy recovery!

Why is my cat not eating, lethargic, with low temp and lung issues?

Hello and thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Unfortunately, It is very hard to say what is going on with Yuki. Anorexia and lethargy are not specific symptoms for one particular disease. In fact, these signs can be caused by several problems, like infection, liver, kidney, pancreas diseases, heart and lung problems, pain and more. Low temperature is probably a sign of being generally unwell. Yuki should have a full blood test done followed by ultrasound scan of the abdomen to make the diagnosis. I don't think in this situation definite diagnosis can be made by taking x-rays only.

Why is my senior cat eating more, cold paws, and friendlier?

Those aren't inherently concerning signs, so I think it's ok to just keep an eye on him for any more changes at this point. If he starts to get thin, while asking for more food, I would be concerned about hyperthyroid disease. Or if he just seems wrong and you can't put your finger on it, that's also a good reason for a general check up. Good luck!

When pets have a drop in body temperature, it generally indicates they are very sick. Pets can become hypothermic due to severe infections, poisons or a ruptured internal tumor or organ. All of these conditions are potentially fatal. I recommend to have Zivac examined by his veterinarian quickly. It's always better to play it safe.
