My cat has no energy. Why is he lethargic and acting unusual?

Lethargy can be a sign of many different diseases. I am not sure of his age but he should be examined by a vet to determine the cause. He could have an infection, musculoskeletal issue, kidney disease, liver disease, diabetes, thyroid issue, etc. Your vet can run some lab-work and take x-rays, if needed, to help diagnose and then determine the best way to treat. He may need an antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, or other medications, depending on the cause. Hope he feels better soon!

These are general signs of disease, unfortunately almost any disease can manifest itself with those symptoms and for this reason I won't be able to give you an idea of what could be causing this. I would recommend taking Tonyt to the vet ASAP for a physical examination, if nothing obvious is found he will probably need a blood test or an ultrasound and the vet will then treat him according to the results.

This can happen due to many different causes including fevers, pain, stress, dehydration, and many other causes. If he is just a little bit off and still eating, you can try waiting a day or two, because if this is just a small virus it will pass. If he stops eating, is vomiting, seems sore, or isn't improving, or becoming more dull, then I would get him to a vet right away. Your vet may need to run lab-work and take X-rays to diagnose.

Sleeping a lot is a very vague sign. It can mean a number for things like low blood sugar, low blood pressure, fever, etc. Cats tend to sleep a lot normally. Since this is a new behavior, he should be examined by his veterinarian to help figure out what is wrong. Also watch closely to see if he has other signs such as not eating, not drinking, vomiting, or diarrhea. This may help guide your veterinarian to the cause of the problem.

Given that she is eating and drinking as normal, I would monitor her for now. If she is still lethargic in another 24-48 hours, I would have her seen by a vet. Should she stop eating or drink, or develops other signs such as vomiting and diarrhea, I would have her seen by a vet right away.

It sounds like Ashey is lethargic, and that is a very general sign of many illnesses including systemic illness, infection, inflammation, and injury.
