My cat is leaking fluid and throwing up foam. What can I do?

It sounds as California is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking her to the vet the first chance you get, she will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection she will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better. if the vet thinks it is more serious she will need a blood test and possibly an ultrasound in order to find out what is wrong.

Your Vet, if you call them, should have an answering machine providing emergency clinic numbers. I wouldn't be too sure they are closed Monday. My hospital is open. Causes of vomiting are: intestinal parasites, viral or bacterial infections, foreign body, dietary indiscretion, toxin ingestion, kidney or liver problems, food allergy/intolerance, coughing from asthma. I am sorry, but these symptoms are very severe and can be caused by a number of illnesses including kidney failure, infection with bacteria or virus, dehydration, oral disease, autoimmune disease, etc. All of these are treated differently. It is important to try to keep Chotu warm. You can try to get some water or pedialyte into her. You may need to travel to a vet to be able to get her better, though.
