Why is my cat lethargic, not walking, and shaking with belly pain?

He should be examined by your veterinarian. Blood work including a urinalysis should be done to assess major organ function and to diagnose kidney infection or urinary tract infection. Abdominal xrays may diagnose foreign body, masses, bladder/kidney stones or bladder inflammation. Supportive care or pain management may be indicated to keep him comfortable until a diagnose is reached.

I'm sorry to hear Perry isn't feeling well. In a young neutered male cat, I would be worried about a urinary blockage. If he hasn't used the litter box in the last few hours I would get him to the vet ASAP. If he cannot urinate he could die. Of course this is worst case scenario but I would still recommend having a vet see him to find the cause of his pain. Good luck and kisses to Perry!

Lethargy can be a sign of many different diseases. I am not sure of his age but he should be examined by a vet to determine the cause. He could have an infection, musculoskeletal issue, kidney disease, liver disease, diabetes, thyroid issue, etc. Your vet can run some lab-work and take x-rays, if needed, to help diagnose and then determine the best way to treat. He may need an antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, or other medications, depending on the cause. Hope he feels better soon!

Since Beki is exhibiting a variety of symptoms (not eating and walking abnormally) I would recommend you take her to the veterinarian to be checked out. She could be suffering from back/spinal pain or abdominal pain from something like pancreatitis. A physical examination by your veterinarian will help determine the cause of her discomfort. You're right, it doesn't sound good. Possible causes for the bloat and decreased appetite include pain from arthritis, hairballs, food allergy, GI blockage, intestinal parasites, IBD, intestinal lymphoma, systemic disease (liver, kidney, pancreas, diabetes), among others. The shedding and change in coat texture could be due to a decrease in nutrition from not eating, but is likely caused by not grooming as frequently. I recommend that James go to the vet as soon as possible. After a thorough physical exam, your vet may recommend additional diagnostics like x-rays or bloodwork to try to determine the cause of his symptoms.

If Bentley continues to be lethargic I recommend a trip to the vet asap to make sure is all ok. He is probably just a little sore! Offer him a small amount of food and monitor. I recommend that you have Kitty reevaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment since things have not improved. Likely diagnostics include radiographs. Treatment would be based on findings. At the very least they can prescribe pain control medications to make kitty feel better.
