My 3-year-old cat is vomiting, slow, and has pain in his lower back?

There are a number of things that could be causing the vomiting such as kidney failure, GI illness, a foreign body, or cancer. Pain when defecating can be caused by arthritis in his back and hips. a foreign body, impacted anal sacs, or cancer. I think he should see a vet as soon as possible for these symptoms given his age. Oh dear! I'm sorry to hear that Puppycat is sick. Unfortunately, this sounds like a serious problem. There are many things that can cause vomiting and lethargy, so it's hard to say what might be wrong without being able to examine him and run some tests. He may have a GI problem such as pancreatitis or an intestinal obstruction, a systemic illness like liver or kidney disease, a urethral obstruction (this is common in neutered males), or may have ingested something toxic. This does sound like it may be a life-threatening problem, so I would recommend taking Puppycat to an emergency clinic tonight to be seen. The veterinarian there can do blood work and x-rays if needed to help diagnose the problem and get him started on appropriate treatment.

The back pain is likely unrelated and may be due to arthritis for example, among other possibilities. For this reason, I highly recommend that you have Pretty evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment as soon as possible as I am afraid she is likely becoming dehydrated. Vomit is a symptoms usually referred to a problem located in the gastrointestinal system. It can be secondary to a dietary indiscretion. It could be caused by a stomach inflammation (gastritis) or if he is having soft feaces as well can be an upset of the whole gastrointestinal system. Pancreatitis might be another option and cannot be ruled out at this stage. Vomit can also be a secondary to systemic diseases (i.e. renal failure). If it's already 3 days and not improving I recommend a consultation with your veterinarian asap for a full health check. Bobo is not drinking therefore he might be dehydrated and possibly need hospitalization and fluidotherapy to restore the fluid losses.
