Why is my cat hiding, scared, and vomiting? Should I see a vet?

Stress and anxiety can caus them to hide and be scared. She may not be comfortable with your boyfriend. However they also hide when they don’t feel well, which would be my concern since she vomited. She does need to see a vet to see which is the problem but you can help by controlling her environment and limiting stress so she feels safe enough to come out more

Vomiting can occur from many conditions such as foreign body ingestion and obstruction, pancreatitis, gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, among other possibilities. Hiding is a sign of sicknesss or discomfort in cats usually. I recommend that you have Luna evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. This will likely require bloodwork and abdominal imaging in terms of diagnostics. Treatment would be based on findings. At the very least your veterinarian could start her on medications to make her feel better. In the meantime, keep water available at all times to try to prevent dehydration. Cats are actually somewhat of a prey species, so they are very good at hiding illnesses. I recommend keeping a close eye on Hobbes, and having her seen by a vet if this continues for the next 2 days or so. She should be seen sooner if you feel that she has declined or begins to show signs such as vomiting, diarrhea, or loss of appetite. I hope this helps and that all is well!

This is very serious. Cats often hide when they are ill. Bob needs to see a vet as soon as possible. You did not mention his age so it's difficult to give you an idea of what may be going on. If he is a young cat then he may have an intestinal obstruction. In an older cat the most likely causes for vomiting, hiding, weight loss and "bathroom" issues are: kidney disease, thyroid disease, diabetes and cancer. Regardless, he needs to see a vet. You can't let him go on suffering.

Yes, I would have Houdini seen by a vet but it's not an emergency. It's not normal he's been vomiting in the past couple of weeks, and while it could be due to something he ate off the ground, I can't say for certain without seeing him. Certainly there are a number of illnesses that cause vomiting, such as kidney disease and diabetes, and in the beginning stages the cat eats normally or has an increase in appetite. Cats may hide if scared or not feeling well. Try to determine is anything has changed around the house that may have spooked her. Any new people or pets, a move, or sudden change in schedule. If you can't think of anything then monitor health closely. Eating, drinking and litter box habits. Notice any vomiting or diarrhea. And if she is acting ill take her in for a vet visit.

I don't like the fact that Snoopy is hiding and being dull. I would recommend bringing him out of his hiding spot and taking him to a veterinarian. He symptoms are so vague that it could indicate multiple different things going on with him.
