Why is my cat hiding and meowing loudly after being chased by dogs?

I'm so sorry to hear about Kit Kat! She could be scared, hurt, or anxious. The best thing you can do is just pick her up and sooth her. She might like to perch up high on a shelf or cat tree (but make sure she can walk normally and doesn't seem to be injured). And then just try to let her rest and have quiet as much as possible tonight. If she's still the same in the morning, schedule an appointment with your vet for as soon as possible. I'm so sorry Lizzie went through this traumatic event! Without seeing her and her injuries it is very hard so say. If they shook her at all they could have caused bruising to her lungs or brain. The other concern would be any puncture wounds. I would look her over carefully for wounds and keep her inside for the next 24-48 hours to monitor her. Hello, thank you for your question. This is not uncommon after a traumatic event, especially since cats are very sensitive to stressful events. I would allow your cat time to recover from this event and recommend allowing her to come out from under the bed at her own pace. She may be more likely to come out sooner if the dog is not in a similar location, so you could try confining your dog for a brief period of time. So sorry to hear this happened. It is best to ignore her behavior. If you give her any attention you are rewarding an inappropriate behavior. I suggest you leave her be, put some Feliway diffusers in the house (especially in the room she is in) and try to act as normal as possible. You will cause her more stress if you are constantly checking in on her. I suggest you leave the door open to the room and she can come in/out if and when she pleases. Hello. This was a very stressful event for autumn, so I would give her another 24 hours to see if she calms down. If she is still obviously agitated, I would recommend a visit to your vet. She may have ingested something while under the floorboards, or there may actually be something going that made her go down the hole in the first place - curiosity aside. Going without food & water for 24 hours should not be a significant event for her. She may just be interested in whatever is down the hole. Feed him and water him and examine him closely for pain, blood or injuries, check his nail (whether they are frayed...if so, he may have been hit by a car), observe him walk and whether he is lame. If all is well, he is probably just very very happy to be home again with you. He may have been very scared outside considering he is usually an inside kitty. Give him lots of TLC. If he keeps crying or has any signs of an injury, or appears ill or hurt, you should take him to ta pet ER tonight.

Frost may be shaken from the scuffle. I'd leave her be for now, it's not too serious she hasn't eaten in a few hours. She may be painful, so if she is still acting this way in the morning, have her seen by a vet. Best of luck.
