Why is my cat hiding under the bed after an accident? Scared or hurt?

I would allow your cat time to recover from this event and recommend allowing her to come out from under the bed at her own pace. She may be more likely to come out sooner if the dog is not in a similar location, so you could try confining your dog for a brief period of time. You may have just startled her by falling on her, and she is hiding because she is scared. If she starts limping, becomes lethargic, or stops eating and drinking, then she likely was hurt from the trauma, and I would take her into the vet for an exam.

It is possible - many cats are sensitive to changes like this. As long as he is eating and drinking I would wait a day or two to see if his behavior goes back to normal. If his behavior is abnormal for more than 48 hours or you notice any other signs like vomiting or diarrhea I would recommend seeing your veterinarian to make sure everything okay. You could also ask the groomer if anything out of the ordinary happened this time when he was groomed - if he was particularly anxious he might benefit from a sedative before his next appointment.

Poor BB! I would recommend putting his litter box, food and water bowls, etc. in the room with the bed and leaving him alone with the door closed for now. He will eventually come out to eat, drink, and use the bathroom when things are quiet and he feels comfortable - many cats wait until nighttime when everyone is asleep to do this. A Feliway pheromone diffuser in the room may also help. It may take a week or two for him to be comfortable enough to come out from under the bed for more than a moment or two, so I would be patient for now and give him time to adjust. Once he's acting normal again, you can transition his food and water bowls, litter box, etc. to wherever you would like them to be in the long term :)

There's a good chance that Benjamin was scared by the noise and people that he isn't used to having around. I would place his litter box, food and water very near to where he is hiding and keep the area quiet so he will come back out. A special type of canned food or treat may help coax him out. You may want to get a Feliway diffuser to help reduce his anxiety. If he doesn't come back out within 24 hours I'd be a little more concerned that he may be sick as cats will often hide if they don't feel well. Also, if he doesn't come out to eat or drink soon I'd start to get worried about dehydration.
