My cat is bowing her head, tilting, and not eating. When to see a vet?

Sounds like a toxicity of some sort but it could also be an underlying problem with her liver and/or kidneys. I suggest you have her to the vet for an exam and some blood testing to start with. We cannot really recommend any treatment without knowing the underlying cause of her symptoms.

BowBow sounds extremely sick, and it's a medical emergency that she is refusing water and food. It may be she has a pyometra, which is an infection of the uterus that is fatal without treatment. It could also be she got into something toxic. This cannot be treated at home, she has to see a vet now. Please take her into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. Your kitty needs to be seen by a vet. These are concerning symptoms in an older cat. They can become dehydrated very easily. Not eating can be caused by numerous things including things with the gi tract itself and diseases of any other organ system (kidneys, liver, etc). Your vet can perform an exam and then likely will recommend starting with bloodwork +/- xrays. This is the best plan to figure out what is going on and to get your kitty feeling better. Hi there. With what you're describing, Sabrina should be seen by a vet ASAP. Vomiting can occur for several reasons, such as pancreatitis, intestinal blockage, viruses, etc. However, because she's vomiting and falling over, it does sound like she has something serious going and and she needs veterinary care. I’m so sorry that Bell isn’t feeling well! Lack of appetite, loss of energy, and possible fever can be caused by many conditions including infections, foreign bodies, certain cancers, urinary blockage and others. I recommend having Bell seen by a vet to determine what is going on and receive appropriate treatment. Your vet will begin with a physical exam and likely recommend further diagnostics such as bloodwork and X-rays if needed. Cats who don’t eat can get very sick over several days because of abnormal fat metabolism by their liver, so it is very important to have Bell seen as soon as possible. I hope all is well!

This is an emergency. Your cant needs to be seen by a veterinarian right away. She needs a thorough exam and blood work. The signs are too unspecific to pinpoint the problem without an exam. This could be a central nervous condition or weakness due to an electrolyte imbalance or a viral disease. Please take her to a vet right away.
