My cat has a high fever, drools, and twitches. Could it be a seizure?

Seizures in cats are not normal and are very serious. There could be an underlying medical problem or this may be from a toxin ingestion. I'm not sure what to tell you do as I have no idea what products/medications you have available to you. The cat should see a vet. You can try giving her some milk if she will drink it. DO NOT force it down her throat. If it is a toxin ingestion that may help.

I'm sorry Louie is sick! The drooling could be due to nausea or pain, and when cats are sick, they typically become lethargic. Unfortunately his symptoms are quite general and could be caused by a number of different things such as a systemic illness, infection, inflammation, or an injury. The only way to know for sure what is causing them is to have him seen by a vet, and I'd recommend taking him in first thing in the morning so he can be examined, diagnosed, and treated. It is unlikely she caught something from the kitten since the kitten is asymptomatic. If Lola's normal temperature isn't usually this high, then it may be best to have her bloodwork analyzed to see if there are any clues as to why she has a fever of unknown origin. Although infectious diseases do commonly cause fevers. I hope she feels better soon.

If she has a fever that high after having kittens the only thing you can do is take her to the vet as her life is at risk. She could be suffering from .a severe infection due to mastitis, metritis or a retained kitten or she could have hypocalcemia. All of these possibilities require prompt medical teatment that you simply cannot provide at home. Take her to a vet now.

Hello. I am sorry that Shadow is having these episodes. It sounds a bit like hyperesthesia syndrome, a condition thought to have underlying compulsive behaviors, but can certainly be brought on by other factors such as allergies ( including fleas bites ), but environmental stress ( anything change at home ? ), myositis, seizures, spinal & neuropathic pain. In a 13 year old cat, I would be investigating pain as the cause of these episodes. It appears that your kitten has an ear infection. This could be caused by mites, bacteria or a fungus. She will need to be seen by a veterinarian who will examine the ear with an otoscope, and he will take a swab of the discharge of the ear and look at it under the microscope. This should help with diagnosing the cause. Your kitty will then get medicine according to the diagnosis, usually ear drops. The ear will also need to be cleaned by the vet

I would be concerned about Zapatitos being nauseas, having infection or trauma inside the mouth or even a toxin if possible exposure. I would recommend taking her to a vet to have a good detailed exam to help narrow down why Zapatitos is hyper salivating. It is important to look under her tongue and make sure string is not attached causing a foreign body. Also you can look in her mouth to make sure you do not see any type of sores. Sometimes cats will chew electrical wires and get burns in the mouth or even have viruses that cause ulcers. All of these things can cause hyper salivation. I think a vet visit is best to help Zapatitos feel better as soon as possible.
