Why is my cat still sick with fever and can't stand after vet?

Pet's info: Cat | Bengal | Male | 9 months and 8 days old | 4.4 lbs

My cat has been suffering from fever for 2days.today morning the temperature was 105.2f.then our local vet injected melonex .7 ml and intacef250mg 1 ml.sometimes later nurokind injection was also injected.in the evening temperature went down to 96.4f and our vet injected decadan 1 ml.now the temperature is 100f. But my cat is not in a condition to stand up even.plz help me.

I am so sorry that Kitti is so sick. I’m very worried about her from your description and I’m afraid she needs some pretty intensive care if she’s going to recover. If you are near a veterinary specialty center, consider going there through their emergency department. What diagnostics have been done at this point? If bloodwork hasn’t yet been done, ask about doing some lab work to get a better idea of what’s going on. Xrays or ultrasound may also be helpful. I am sorry I don’t have any solutions for you to try at home , but delaying appropriate treatment could change the outcome.

It is very concerning that Blacky is not eating and breathing abnormally. I would take Blacky back to your family veterinarian as these may be symptoms of a very serious illness. The veterinarian may want to do blood work and x-rays to determine what is wrong with her so that they know how to best help her.

I am sorry to hear about Blacky. It sounds like she may need some supportive care to get her back on track. This could include fluid therapy and forced feeding or an appetite stimulant. You can call your vet and see if they can give her fluids (this can be done via an IV cather or under the skin which they can teach you to do at home) and an appetite stimulant. Until you are able to get her in to be seen you may try syringe feeding her water and you can also make a gruel by putting canned food in a blender with water to make it thin enough to pass through a syringe. If she isn't improving or gets the fever again she may need a different antibiotic or additional testing (such as bloodwork) to help determine why she is ill.

Hello, it sounds like you are doing all the right things right now. You can offer canned food and make sure you keep her away from the other kittens in case she has something that could be infectious (viral).

If she develops any severe lethargy, vomiting, or decreased appetite, then have her evaluated immediately. Hope this helps and best of luck.

Please take her into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. Kitten sick: fever, bloody vomit, strange walk after human medicine?

Some human medications for fever are highly toxic to cats. I am concerned that there is something very serious going on to cause bloody vomit. I don't have any treatment ideas since we don't know what is causing the issue in Kelev. She really needs to see a vet.

My kitten is sick, not eating, vomiting, and crying in pain. What now?

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Cutee! From your pictures and description Cutee is very sick. I don't understand why you think the Vets in your area do not care about animals. I would ask your neighbors and friends who they like for their pets Vet care and use that hospital. Sadly Cutee needs to see a Veterinarian. Without examining Cutee and establishing a Veterinary Client Patient Relationship it is against the law for us to diagnose and prescribe medications. Cutee needs an exam, fecal test for worms, a belly X-rays, blood work and likely hospitalization to pull her through this. All you can do at home is keep her safe and warm. You can try kitten milk replacer and bottle feed her. Though if she is over 3-4 weeks old kitten food is fine. She is going to become dehydrated, if she isn't already, if she isn't eating or holding anything down. I am very sorry but what Cutee needs to be seen and examine by a Vet to obtain a diagnosis and receive treatment. I wish you both the best!

Why is my sick kitten lethargic and stinky after lying in litter?

Poor girl. Kitty sounds very ill and may have an infection. You need to take her to your local vet right away if you want to help her at this point. The vet needs to do some bloodwork on her to determine if an infection is present and then prescribe medication to hopefully stabilize her condition quickly. This cannot be treated at home, especially since we don't know what the underlying problem is. Please take her now. Why is my young cat not eating or moving after a fever shot?

I am very concerned about your cat. Did your veterinarian give you a reason for the fever? Also do you know what the shot was? My concern is with a younger cat and a fever that there is always the possibility of a cat with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritionitis). There is no real test for this and is more a diagnosis of exclusion. I would discuss this with your veterinarian tomorrow to see if with what is going on with your cat this may be a possibility. Hello. I am so sorry for Smudge not feeling well. By scan, do you just mean x-rays? If not already done, Smudge needs a complete blood count & serum chemistry analysis. I would also be looking at all rickettsial diseases ( do you have ticks in the UK? ), & also possibly looking at a fungal panel. Identifying the cause of an illness is often a process that takes some time. I am glad you have her in a hospital setting so immediate treatments can be given as needed.
