My cat has a fever, can't walk, won't eat. Is this an emergency?

The temperature itself isn’t an emergency, but it is definitely a fever. If he goes outdoors I would start feeling all over for an abscess from a fight. I would highly encourage you to have him evaluated by your veterinarian soon, but as long as there are no other clinical signs such as difficulty breathing etc then I think having him seen by your veterinarian tomorrow is appropriate. Yes i would take her in to a clinic. Mobile vets are limited in what they can do diagnostically and treatment wise for sick pets. These sound like concerning symptoms. They can assess for a fever, dehydration, and pain. Likely bloodwork, felv/fiv testing, and xrays will be recommended as the first steps. This is a medical emergency and Mussi has to see a vet now. You cannot treat this at home, she is in danger of developing a fatty liver from not eating anything for three days. A fatty liver is fatal without treatment. Please take her into a vet immediately.

Hi. It sounds like she is very sick. With these signs, she needs to go to the ER right away. It sounds as if she has a neurologic condition that is progressing. They will do an exam, labwotk and imaging and that will help.guide us to the possible diagnosis. Good.luck

She will need a thorough neurological exam and likely needs iv fluids, possibly anti-nausea medication. It is very good that you are syringe feeding her. If you cannot find a vet today, make sure she eats and drinks so she does not dehydrate and take her to a vet tomorrow morning.

Fever in cats usually indicates there is an infection present. Cats also can get fever from a flea parasite called Mycoplasma, which is treated with an antibiotic. There isn't anything you can do for either of these scenarios at home unfortunately. A vet visit is required to treat for these and hopefully get Snow back to normal. I would ask friends and family if they can assist you with getting Snow to the vet for further care.
