My 5-month-old cat fell, is in pain, and can't walk. What to do?

It is possible that Susie might have injured her paw. The injury could be related to the muscles or ligaments in the foot or it is possible that the bones may be fractured, depending on what happened. If Susie does not start walking on the foot, you should take her to the veterinarian to determine what kind of injury she has. Your veterinarian will also be able to prescribe pain medications and/or anti-inflammatories that will make Susie more comfortable. In the meanwhile, do not give her any human pain medications as these can sometimes be lethal to cats.

Poor Tom! Without seeing him I cannot say for sure what he has injured. He could have simply sprained a muscle or broke a toenail. Unfortunately, he could have also broken a bone. I would strongly recommend to have your vet take a look at him. Your vet will be able to localize the pain and take x-rays if needed. They will be able to get him started on pain meds and the proper treatment plan to help him feel better. I hope this helps!

Hi and thanks for posting. If you feel Jasper is experiencing pain in one of his legs, the best thing to do would be to have him evaluated by a veterinarian. Your vet will need to do an exam and may recommend taking x-rays to check for fractures or other injuries to the legs so he can be appropriately treated.

Poor Sphinx! She sounds like she is in pain! I'd definitely recommend taking her to see a veterinarian right away. She may have a broken leg or internal injury and needs immediate veterinary medical care. She will need pain medication as well. Please have Loka seen by a vet immediately. She is likely in a lot of pain, and may have serious internal injuries as well if she was hit by a car. There are indeed treatments your vet can provide to help keep her comfortable. Pain medications meant for humans can be very dangerous (and even deadly) for cats, so I do not recommend giving any to Loka without consulting with your vet. Poor Felix. I'm concerned that he is in pain. Unfortunately there are no OTC pain relievers you can give him. Many human ones are toxic to cats and are fatal if given. I'd have him seen by a vet now.
