My 4yo cat vomits hairballs occasionally. Today he was heaving as if he were about to vomit. A small amount of fluid came up and then he fainted. Eyes open but was unconscious for about 30 seconds. He started to come to and was dazed for about 10 mins. He now seems normal. This is 2nd time this has happened. I’ve read that the vagus nerve is sensitive and could be the reason this happens. I’m wondering if there is an underlying issue causing fainting or the act of vomiting is causing fainting.
